Angie Meister- Owner/Artistic Director

Angie has studied dance for almost 28 years.  As a member of Ballet Midland Dance Company, she was a featured soloist, studying under Susan Clark, Anthony Ferro, and Audrey Walker.  As a participant in Southwest Regional Ballet Association festivals across the southwest, she performed in Santa Fe, Dallas, and Houston, studying under guest artists Anne Reinking and Bill Martin Viscount.  Angie has a B.A. in Pre-K and Elementary Education.

Angie has a solid background in competitive cheerleading and gymnastics. As a former NCA All-American Cheerleader, she performed in Ireland representing the United States; and competed in All-Around gymnastics at the state level for many years.  Angie has also coached competitive cheerleading at the high school level.  Angie had a competitive and exhibition dance team for 3 years in the Midwest before relocating to the DFW area. Angie was  recently named Outstanding Director by Amercian Dance/Drill Team at the 2008 Texas State Championship. Angie is the proud parent of 3 kids attending school at  Pantego Christian Academy where she has been recently named Drill Team Director for the Panther Pride Dance Team.

Lane Rhodes- Assistant Director/Competition Director

Lane studied tap, ballet, & jazz under Jan Jamison Roten at the Arlington Dance Academy for 10 years.  Lane is the former captain of the Martin High School Sundancers and danced with the TCU Showgirls.  Lane is a graduate of Texas Christian University with a B.S. in Political Science and a certification in Secondary Education.  She directed the Sam Houston High School Tex-Annes Varsity Dance Team and Annies Junior Varsity Dance Team.  She currently choreographs competition routines and teaches master classes for teams in several states.  Lane’s teams and choreography have won multiple National Championships.  Her teams have won over 350 regional and state awards.  Lane served on the board of the Drill Team Directors of America in 2001 and was a speaker at their convention in 2006.  She served as an advisor to Curtain Call Costumes in 2008. Lane also works for American Dance/ Drill Team School as a contest administrator and judge. Lane was recently named Outstanding Director by American Dance/Drill Team School at the 2008 Texas State Championship.

Erin Bergin- Performing Company Director

Erin’s dance education began at Future Talent Dance Academy in California. After moving to Texas she studied at Dance Workshop where she was a member of the Showstoppers competition team. Erin has also studied at the EDGE Performing Arts Center in Los Angeles. She is a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Business Administration. Erin has taught dance and gymnastics for Dance Workshop, Arlington Gymnastics Club, and Kids Dance Academy.

Colleen Kachlic

Colleen Kachlic began her dance career at the age of 5 as a student at the Rainbow Dance Gallery where she studied ballet, jazz, tumbling and pointe.  She continued her study of ballet and pointe at Tyler Junior College Ballet Academy.  She was a member of the Tyler Civic Ballet for four years, where she performed in productions of Coppelia, Giselle, Les Sylphides, Sleeping Beauty, and the Nutcracker.  She received her bachelor’s degree in Economics with a minor in dance from the University of Texas at Arlington. She has worked as an instructor at the UT-Arlington in ballet, tap, modern and jazz.  She has choreographed numerous pieces for the UT-Arlington Dance Ensemble as well as attended, performed and presented choreography at the ACDFA convention for 5 consecutive years.  Colleen recently completed her yoga certification and is excited to be able to share yoga with her students.  She is currently working on her master’s degree in finance and economics at Texas A&M Commerce.

Angela McCord-McGarity

Angela attended Texas Christian University on a Nordan Scholarship for dance. She graduated in May 1999 with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Ballet. While at TCU, Angela studied under Li-Chou Cheng, Stephanie Rand, Max Stone, Dr. Susan Haigler-Robles, and the late Fernando Bujones.

She danced many principle roles under the direction of Fernando Bujnoes, in Rhythm of Jazz, Forever Forties, Napolle, La Bayadere, Raymonda, and Tchaikovsky. She has also performed in other ballets with the Victoria Ballet Theatre such as Nutcracker, Coppelia, Firebird, and Sleeping Beauty. Performing in Italy was a highlight in Angela's college career.

Since graduating from college, Angela has been dancing for the Radio Rockettes Christmas Spectacular, Mary Kay Productions, Forever Living Products, Sally Beauty Supply, Fashion Shows al over the United States, the Dallas Opera, and Contemporary Dance of Fort Worth. With all her experience in dance Angela has also been choreographing and teaching master classes at area high schools. Judging dance competitions and starting Synergy dance competitions keeps Angela busy. Angela keeps up her training at Steps on Broadway, Broadway Dance Center, area conventions, and any dance class she comes across.

Kelly Norman



Kelly has over 25 years of teaching dance in the DFW area. She studied jazz, tap, and ballet under Jimmie Ruth White and was a member of the Spotlight Dance Company in Cedar Hill Texas. She was Captain of her drill team at Bishop Dunne High School in Dallas where she later became the director for five years. Kelly has a Bachelor of Science from Texas Woman's University in Dance and Sociology. She has choreographed and performed for dance tours throughout the United States and was a member of the Dance Energy Repertory Dance Company. She has been on the American Dance Drill Team Staff for the past 20 years where she is a jazz/hip hop staff captain, judge, clinician, and choreographer. Kelly is well known for her for her innovative choreography in jazz, lyrical, and pom. She was the owner and director of the Award Winning Plano Dance Force for 16 years. The team won numerous national, state, and regional titles and was recongnized for it's outstanding choreography and technique. Kelly is a native of Dallas and lives in Arlington with her high school sweetheart Mark and her two sons Chase and Grayson.

Aubrey Thompson

Aubrey begin her gymnastics training in 1991 in New York.  Later she became a member of the USAG Competition team through Spirals.  Aubrey was also a member of the Lamar High School Gymnastics Team  and helped her team to win 9th overall at the State Competition in 2001.  She previously was a gymnastics instructor/ coordinator for the City of Arlington at both the Dottie Lynn and Elzie Odom Rercreation Centers.  Aubrey is a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington.

 

 

 

 


Jodie Epley

Jodie began her dance training at Dance Workshop.  During her years studying at Dance Workshop she was a member of their competition team and received many scholarships from Tremaine and LA Underground.  Jodie has instructed dance at Dance Creations, Just Dancin', and Vipor Cheer and Dance.  Jodie is also a talented gymnastics and cheerleading instructor.  She has coached a junior cheerleading squad and was the choreographer for the cheer squads at Vipor Cheer.  We are excited to welcome Jodie to the United staff!

Natasha Newbrough

Natasha’s dance career began at High Society Dance Studio in Garland.  Natasha was a member of their competition teams for many years.  Natasha was Captain of the Rhythemettes Junior Varsity Dance Team and Captain of the Silver Rhythm Dance Team at Rowlett High School.  Natasha was a very successful soloist winning several regional solo titles as well as placing as a National Finalist for three straight years.  She is featured on the cover of the textbook Dance Team.  In 2007-2008, Natasha was a member of the Dallas Mavericks Dancers performing at Mavericks home games and at appearances throughout the metroplex.  Natasha has also been an instructor for Dallas Power House of Dance.  Currently, Natasha is a student at the University of Texas at Arlington studying Industrial Engineering.  Natasha is an instructor, choreographer, and competition adjucator for American Dance / Drill Team School.

Tasha Evans

Since the age of 3, Tasha has studied tap, ballet, modern, hip hop, and jazz. She was an officer of the Trinity Valley Community College Cardettes and a member of the Texas Women’s University DanceWorks Performing Company. She holds a Bachelors of Fine Arts from TWU. She has performed for the Fort Worth Arts & Music Festival, the March of Dimes, & a NCAA Basketball Tournament. While she was an instructor for Dance Xpressions in Red Oak, Tasha greatly expanded their hip hop program. Tasha is a popular instructor and judge with American Drill Team School.

Britney NeSmith

Participated in Pee-Wee, Middle School & High School teams (been a cheerleader since the age of 3) Cheered under both UCA & NCA cheer throughout middle and high schools. Coached a Competitive All-Star Team (The Rockers) based out of Dallas for about 3 years. Which included Level 1,2,and 3 squads. Contract work for different all-star organizations in the metro- plex including stunt workshops/clinics and choreography. Currently Coach a Junior Varsity Squad Under Young Champions of America.
